Our remote control is compatible with most ceiling fans, except those with built-in receivers and solid-state fans. Please note that there is a similar remote control with a FOR/REV button, but this is a timer function. The two transmitters need to correspond to different receivers, otherwise the timing and reverse function will not be available.

The red indicator on the transmitter will light up when one of the buttons is pressed. The package includes a remote control, a wall mount, two screws, and a paper description. However, the batteries are not included.

To use the remote control, you need to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment to match the same pattern as the old remote. There are 16 different frequencies for Hampton Bay fans, so you may need to experiment with the combinations.
