The kit can work with most bulbs less than 500W in total, and there's a timer function which is great because no more leaving a fan running all day in an empty room and worrying about the power bill. It can work well with LED bulbs and also incandescent ones, but there is no dimmer function for your light kit - it's "on" and "off" only.

Installation is a breeze, and the remote's looks are second to none. Just make sure you have room in the ceiling fan for the remote box - it's only 5 wire hooks up. The most challenging part was placing the receiver in the canopy, but connecting the receiver to the fan and the house wiring was even easier.

The kit comes with a fan remote holder for the wall switch or which can be mounted by the bed, so you can leave it over the wall switch or take it out like a remote. It's so nice to not have to get out of bed to turn the fan on or change a setting.

Some troubleshooting tips: 1. To turn off the beeps, long press the "STOP" buttons for 5 seconds. 2. If the fan speed is slower even at High, make sure the SPEED is at Maximum and the Light is at "ON" on the pull chains or wall switch. 3. This fan remote does not have a dimming or reverse function. 4. It's an AC motor fan light remote, so it can't work on a DC motor fan light. 5. If there's no answer from the fan, check the power, switch positions, receiver installation, remote battery, and other nearby RF products. 6. Take care of the antenna when installing the fan receiver, and put it outside the canopy for a good signal.
